John has 50 years of experience in ship design and related engineering, vessel repair and operations as well as project coordination and management. The combination of extensive hands-on experience in vessel operations, a thorough working knowledge of shipyard construction practices, and decades of engineering and design execution allows John to ensure that each vessel’s construction will be straightforward, on time, with little to no regulatory or construction conflicts. As principal, he oversees all of the company’s contracts to ensure milestones are met and budgets are kept on track as well as the duties associated with management and the acquisition of new work. He has personally managed the design and engineering from concept through regulatory review and approval of many of Gilbert Associates projects. John’s personal reputation for trustworthy expertise is synonymous with the reputation Gilbert Associates has earned with our customers and industry partners.
